Should I keep using a microwave that sparks?

Can one stove plate fail while the others still heat?
Yes. A single plate, switch or element can fail on its own. Tell us which cooking zone stopped and whether the oven still heats, so the technician arrives ready for that repair.
Does a built-in oven need the kitchen furniture opened on the first visit?
The technician needs enough access to isolate and inspect the unit. Mention tight cabinets, a furniture door and where the isolator is. We open only what is needed to reach the oven.
