Why Is My Tumble Dryer Taking So Long?
Slow drying is almost always airflow. Fluff builds up behind the filter housing, in the condenser fins and inside the vent hose, and each layer slows the damp air leaving the drum. Many dryers have a two-part heating element, and when one half fails the dryer still works, just slowly. A thermostat cutting out early, overloading and poorly spun washing add time as well.
