Is My Fridge Compressor Faulty?
Sometimes, but the parts around it fail far more often. A click every few minutes is usually the starting relay. A hum followed by silence is often the overload cutting out. A compressor that runs hot with no cooling may be short of refrigerant rather than broken. Our fridge repairs technicians test each of these with a meter before recommending any part.

How We Test a Fridge Compressor
The technician checks the supply voltage, tests the relay and overload, measures the compressor windings and watches the starting current. On inverter models we test the board output too. If the compressor runs, we check the system pressures to confirm it is pumping.
