Why do front-loader door seals collect water after a wash?
The gasket sits at the lowest point of the door opening, so a little water in the folds is normal. Standing water, mould or drips onto the floor point to a fault. Wipe the folds dry and see washing machine leaking if drips continue.
Can a detergent drawer leak even when the door seal looks fine?
Yes. A cracked drawer, a blocked dispenser jet or too much detergent can drip down the cabinet front. That path is separate from a door-seal leak, so tell us where the water first appears when you book.
Should I run an empty front-loader cycle to dry the gasket?
